Teer Coatings Ltd announces acquisition by Judges Scientific plc.

Teer Coatings Ltd a leading provider of PVD magnetron Sputtered Coatings and Coating Systems, is pleased to announce that it has been acquired by Judges Scientific plc. 

Judges Scientific plc (AIM: JDG), is a group focused on acquiring and developing companies in the scientific instrument sector. Judges Scientific now consists of 25 businesses acquired since 2005. The acquired companies are primarily UK-based with products sold worldwide to a diverse range of customers including higher education institutions, scientific research facilities, manufacturers, and regulatory authorities. The group has received five Queen's Awards for innovation and export. 

Post completion, both Wayne Southall (Sales Director) and Dr Hailin Sun (Technical Director) will remain with the company in their current positions. Angela Byrne will provide a 6-month handover period prior to her planned retirement. 

Teer expects no changes to the day-to-day operations of the company, and customers can expect the same level of excellent service they have always received. In the longer term, being part of a larger group will give Teer greater opportunity to invest in and widen its product portfolio of Coating Systems and new Sputtered Coatings.
